]]>I've been meaning to post these pictures for a while now, earlier this year I had the pleasure of photographing Hazel and James and their lovely two daughters. To avoid the vaguries of the British weather we decided to go for a studio shoot. And here's some of the results:
]]>
And to add to my joy and delight an earlier (and altogether rubbisher) picture I'd taken of Londontotem by Rian Hughes on Instagram (http://instagram.com/p/MvcnLknw7N/) was selected by @InstaCCApp to appear on their blog:

Back in May I attended a photography course run by Damien Lovegrove. I can not recommend the course highly enough, Damien is a great photographer (see some of his brilliant work here: http://www.prophotonut.com/) and an even better teacher, his enthusiasm and energy for taking photos is nothing short of contagious.
The back drop for the course and the photos was the beautiful Dillington House in Somerset. Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day, some of them are in keeping with my style and some of them are a bit more experimental. I hope you enjoy.

]]>I kicked off the 2012 wedding season with the fabulous wedding of Tatiane & Richard. The wedding was at The Ritz London and then we all moved on to Home House to get the party started.
Here are a few photographs that tell, in part, the story of the day:
And of course if you want to see more photographs from the wedding, check out my website here: www.adamleachphotography.com/tatiane_richard or click 'play' on the slideshow below.

You may be thinking that these guys look familiar and that's becuase they have been featured before on this blog when they got married, take a look here.
Anyway the summer wedding season is now a distant memory but Deborah & Avi were keen to get back behind the camera for a post wedding shoot.
The photographs were taken on location at an amazing public garden in Hamsptead, which I will definitely be re-visiting.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a morning at Colindale Primary School to shoot photographs for the school's brochure.
The school has recently moved into an incredible new school building, which was part of the reason for the shoot. Colindale now has some amazing facilities, for a state maintained school, including a swimming pool and soft play area.
Its was a really touching to see the level of care and commitment the staff has for all the children at this multicultural school and in particular for the children with physical disablities.
Back by popular demand following the critically acclaimed Welcome to Clerkenwell - a photo guide to London EC1, ADAM LEACH | Photography brings you a photo guide to Fitzrovia.
Like Welcome to Clerkenwell, Welcome to Fitzrovia will tell you nothing about the rich bohemian history of the area and instead leaves it as an excise for the interested reader to look it up on the Internets.
Fitzrovia is bounded by Euston Road to the north, by Oxford Street to the south, by Gower Street to the east and by Great Portland Street to the west. Muxh of the skyline is dominated by the BT Tower, which makes an appreance in a number of the photographs.
Welcome to Fitzrovia is a the-best-camera-is-the-one-you-have-with-you project minus the iPhone, instead using my trusty Canon S95. To achieve the look I wanted in the photographs I have taken most of the pictures at night with an intentionally high ISO to produce a noisy image which I have then added to by using a crossed processed treatment in post production. Was that to much information? Anway here's some more pictures...
The area is thought to be named after the Fitzroy Tavern, pictured above, situated on the corner of Charlotte Street and Windmill Street (okay so there is a bit about Fitzrovia's history, but not much).
And finally there is nothing amusing about the name of this fine eating establishment:
Or the fact that this side alley is called 'Percey Passage'

]]>Last weekend was the inagrual annual fireworks party at Moriah school. The evening was brilliantly organised by the fabulous F.O.M commity to raise much need funds for the school.
If you are a parent you can see all the pictures on my website here (log-in required), and you can purchase prints or the digital images, all the proceeds will go directly to the school.
And here's a taster:
Helena & Will's wedding was certainly a day to remember but not just for the tandem bike, shire horses, police box, professional dancers and the six hundred chinese lanterns (which, by the way, where imported from China), but for a day full of laughter and love for this fantastic couple.
Here are a few phtographs from the day:

Here's little Bertie Flaum the latest arrival in Flaum family.
I know in the my last post 'Hanging out with the Lowe family at Chiswick House' I said I prefer location-based family portraits, which is true, but sometimes studio-based portraits can also be just the ticket.
]]>These photographs are from a recent family portrait session with the lovely Lowe family. The shoot was at Chiswick House, which was an incredible back drop and I would really recommend a visit. It would make a fantastic wedding venue.
I really like location family shoots over studio based ones (although I'm happy to do those too) I think you get more natural relaxed photographs especially when the shoot involves children.
Here are a few more from from the shoot:
Here's a few photographs from this very sophisticated London wedding:
And of course not forgetting the most elegant residence of the Roof Gardens:

Taken on my recent family holiday to Cornwall. I didn't get much time to take photographs but I did manage one trip out at golden hour.
The shot was taken at a point just above Mawgan Porth beach looking across the bay and happily the spot was only a five minute walk from my hotel.
]]>I was fortunate enough to be invited to take part in a PalmerSport driving experience day. The day, hosted at Bedford Autodrome, consisted of getting behind the wheel of some awesome sports cars and speeding round a race track.
During the day I got to drive a Caterham 7 Superlight, Porsche 911 JP3, Renault Clio Cup and a BMW M3 GTP. If I'm honest I was probably more excited about getting the opportunity to take some track side pictures as I was to drive the cars. This is most certainly down to the fact that behind the wheel of a car I'm a bit rubbish (as my position on the leader board showed), but behind the controls of my camera I'm a bit more confident.
And if all that driving wasn't enough we also had the chance to be driven around the track in Jaguar JP-LM, which is basically a two seater Le Mans racing car, words can't really describe the ride in this car, it was incredible and a little bit terrifying, okay a lot terrifying.
I hope you enjoy the photos.

I recently had the pleasure of shooting a family portrait session for the Green family. I had a great time with this lovely family and their latest edition Noah, although it was a shame the shoot didn't include the legendary Antony Green, but you can't have everything :o)
Here are a few of the photographs:
And I think this next shot nicely summarise the impact of the first nine months of having children...

]]>Clerkenwell has a long and and rich history, none of which I will go into here, but by all means let me Google it for you. Once a thriving industrial district of London and now a trendy hangout for hipsters and graphic designers.
Clerkenwell is also home to Exmouth Market, awarded best street in the country, that's right think of any street you know, not just in London, but the whole country and Exmouth Market is officially better.
I took this set of photographs as a the-best-camera-is-the-one-you-have-with-you project, however, I didn't take these pictures on Steve Job's wonder device (I'll leave that to the Clerkenwell hipsters), instead I spent the last few months taking my Canon S95 out with me every day and these pictures are the result.
More on my website here: http://www.adamleachphotography.com/clerkenwell and I'll probably be adding a few more to the collection over the next few months.
]]>Not more to add really, although a byline would have been nice :o)

After weeks of speculation and rumor I can now confirm that my photos from Norwood's 'I'm a celebrity, get me some privacy!' event were published in OK! Magazine (they also appeared in the JC). I'm not sure if this is usually the sort of event they cover but it probably had something to do with Mark Moody, OK! Magazine's Social Editor, taking part as a pannelist at the event.
